In 2022, the LoRae Foundation team took a more intimate and sensitive journey to The Ark
Foundation—a shelter for abused children located in the Eastern Region. This visit was
unlike any other. With deep respect for the privacy and emotional journey of the children, no
pictures were taken, allowing us to be fully present with them.
Each child had a story, some too painful to even speak aloud. We listened. We encouraged.
We reassured them that they were seen and loved. The atmosphere was one of healing as we
shared God’s Word, offered donations, and dined together like family.
We ended the day with some light games, laughter slowly breaking through guarded hearts.
The experience was eye-opening, reminding us why we do what we do—to reach the
forgotten, to comfort the broken, and to reflect Christ’s love in the purest way.
2022 taught us that sometimes, the most powerful impact is the one made quietly, in the
sacred space of someone’s healing journey.
