As the world emerged from the grip of COVID-19, 2020 challenged us to rethink our usual
Love for All outreach. Social distancing, safety protocols, and movement restrictions could
have halted us—but instead, they refined our mission. That year, we focused on feeding and
encouraging about 200 children from different vulnerable communities across Accra.
We began at Lapaz, reaching out to street children with hot meals. The journey continued to
the Darkuman Station, where we met young kayayei (head porters), extending love and
nourishment to them amidst their daily hustle.
Next, we visited Remar Orphanage, where, though games were off the table, we filled the
atmosphere with the gospel, gifts, party packs, and ice cream. The caregivers received
appreciation gifts, and the head of the home received a special hamper.
Finally, we stopped at Chosen Children Orphanage, also in Darkuman. Songs of worship
were taught, joy was shared through the Word, and generous donations were made—again,
with food, party items, and caregiver appreciation.
Though COVID changed how we engaged, it couldn’t stop us from loving deeply, reaching
intentionally, and serving joyfully.
